8/16 - Day 3 - Cranes and Magic

With another clear and cool day ahead of us, we gathered in carpool formation for the short trip to the international Crane Foundation (http://www.savingcranes.org/). We had another informative tour, seeing most of the fifteen different kinds of cranes that live (some quite endangered) around the world. Here are pictures:

Interesting aside: the Foundation staff nicknamed us "The Grasshoppers" because of our MiM shirts, then we saw this guy on the trail...

After the tour, we had a nice picnic lunch at the Foundation's pavilion, followed by a return trip our base at the Fox Hill Campground.  We also used this visit for our first "group photo".

After an early "Social Hour", we carpooled to the Rick Wilcox Theater where we were entertained by an energetic family-oriented magic and comedy show. And, one of our caravan members was called up on stage for an elaborate trick! Good Stuff!!
