8/14 – The Caravan is Formed

All thirty-five members of the caravan arrived in Baraboo, WI today. Many of us arrived from the FMCA “Family Reunion” held in Madison, WI last week. Others came to Wisconsin specifically for this caravan.

After settling in at the campground, the group assembled for a social hour this afternoon to provide an opportunity to get acquainted with each other. It was an opportunity to visit with existing friends and make new ones.

Our caravan leaders, Steve and Andi presented an orientation of the caravan and highlighted the activities of the next three days in Baraboo.

After the orientation, we were treated to a wonderful dinner of grilled prime rib with a reduced cherry and red wine sauce, baked potatoes, green beans and tomato salad by the cooking team of Steve, Andi, Herb, Sophia, Neil, Carol, Norm, Roxanne, Terry, and Donna. Many thanks to our cooking team. To top off dinner, Andi offered fresh baked cupcakes covered with icing and large Bing cherries.

Tomorrow, we are off to start exploring the Baraboo and Wisconsin Dells area.
